Extending An Expired Tourist Visa (By One Day)

Featured Replies

First entry on a double entry tourist visa expires on the 9th. As it is an holiday that day and immigration will be coming to Pai on the 10th I am thinking of applying for a 30 day extension that day and pay the 500 baht overstay fine. Someone said it might not be possible to extend a visa that has already expire. Has anyone done this before?

It will not be a problem and there will not be any overstay day charged. Just be sure to visit them Tuesday.

just did that in Pattaya, no problem but I did have to pay the 500b

There is no fine if the proceeding day was a holiday.
