Moving Apartments - What Options For Transport?

Featured Replies

Ok i know the thais are experts at carrying things on their motorbike, ive seen 3 kids standing up one time and another time someone carrying a bicycle and another person but im sure thats minor towards what some people seem, cows, wardrobes, fridges etc im sure have been tried. That said i dont think i can move my suitcases, TV, PC desks etc on 1 motorbike so im looking for someone to help me move a couple of suitcases, 2 fold up computer desks, 40" TV and a few bits and bobs, whats the best thing to get those about 5-7km from nimmanhaemin to my new apartment out towards the 700 stadium. I was thinking just flagging down one of those red taxis for myself, pretty sure id get everything into one of those and would have it loaded up and unloaded within 40 mins, is that the best option for a small move? And if so what would be a fair price range, im thinking 300-500baht, 300 if he watches my load the van and if he helps load and unload id probably pay an extra 100-200 although not much lifting. If someone knows a reliable guy please let me know his number and ill give him a call.

Red Taxis the best option? Any alternatives?

Yes flagging down one of the Red busses may work on a slow day

there are other options avalable too. Many of us have trucks and are happy to help

For such a small load then yes, the red taxi @ 300-400 is your best option.

chiangmai removals can do this - 2 staff, 1 truck- 700 Baht. call me 0810307565
