Double Entry Visa Question

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, this is my first post here, first of many i hope :)

Ive just recieved my passport back in the post with my first double entry visa stamp. On it says 'utilized before 3 october 2012' does this mean i have until that date to enter the kingdom of thailand to start my visa? The reason i ask is that i have read some where before that once you recieve your visa, you have 90 days to enter thailand before it expires, so im a little confused. One other thing, with a double entry visa is it every 60days that i need to do a border run??

Ive tryed to ring my embassy for these questions but they dont seem to answer the phone, just goes to the answering machine.. its a little bit annoying lol

hope some one can help.

Steve

You have two entries of 60 days each entry.

Each entry can be extended by 30 days at Immigration.

You must make your second entry by 3rd October 2012

Thanks for the quick response L.B :) When i enter thailand will i be told a date i.e stamp with a date, telling me when my days days are up or will have to work that out and remind myself of the date?

Now that my visa has arrived the realization has started to kick in... im buzzing now. Cant wait to go now :D

On entry you will get a stamp 'permitted to stay until' (60 days from date of entry) and if you want to extend 30 days you should do that a week or so before that date. After the 30 day extension you will have to leave to return for a new 60 day stay.

When you enter Thailand your Passport will be stamped with a must leave date.

That will be 60 days after entry.

A few days before that date you can pop along to Immigration and get another 30 days for a fee of 1,900 Baht.

Or you can leave the country and return to use your second entry.

Up to you.

Your second entry can also be extended by 30 days at Immigration.
