Wireless Rear View Camera For Nuvi 2565 ?

Featured Replies

I bought some while ago the nüvi 2565 and used it to go through Bangkok and further up north.

worked pretty well although the pronounciation of Thai Streetnames is annoing so i switched to silent mode.

but i like to extend the use with a Accessoire which according to Garmin is available for this model:

googled for hours,- all i find is the same advertising text and product description but no model number.

Here the Text i find everywhere,- but all known Dealer in Thailand have no clue of what i am talking about:

Garmin Wireless Rear View Camera

Are you afraid of not seeing backward while parking? Garmin presents wireless rear view camera, which supports reverse images, providing saver experience for driver. The rear view camera is very easy to install. The wireless transmission is 2.4GHz. All you need to do is to connect power cable but no more extra wires required above dashboard. Besides, the wireless rear view camera receiving module is built in Garmin GPS mount, making it neat ands tidy as integration of receiving. * Wireless rear view camera supports nüvi 2565LM only.

All Help is appreciated

It is possible that the rear view add-on is not – or not yet – available in Thailand for some reason.

(The text you quoted seems to be from http://teck.in/garmin-nuvi-2565lm-and-nuvi-2465lm-gps-navigation-devices-announced.html)

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

well, Garmin ( IE Esri ) is no Help as usual ( not my first Garmin )

nevertheless there are Videos on youtube showing that it works but again here no indication of make or Dealer. I am looking for a Hint where i could buy a Model with that specific connection type. That does not have to be Thailand.

did you have any luck finding it?

I'm looking to buy a 5" Garmin, most likely the same as yours - the 2565. I just hope Garmin won't release a newer version soon.

I'll be looking at Garmin units with my Thai gf next week. I'll get her to ask the shop attendants about the rear view cameras. If i get any definitive answers, i'll let you know.

To "song 0674"

no, i have not been so lucky.

not even Garmin can say which Camera will fit . Strange,- what?

i saw a Video on youtube from someone fitting a Camera into that Model.

so i bought one from Ebay. Only to find out that the Camera i bought had Mini USB instead of Micro USB, and the Video Connection was 2mm instead of the needed 3mm.

Otherwise I am very happy with the 2565. The Junction View is perfect ,- at least in Bangkok.

And,- i don't give up. I look further.
