I hold a nonb visa single entry and work permit and in september 2006 it will expire 1 day before then end of my contract. can i extend this non b visa by 30days and hand back the work permit after i have finished the contract or will i have to waste considerable time and money on leaving the country just for another month before i head out of thailand anyway in november 2006

No you'll generally only get 7-14 days (sometimes less from what I can gather) depending on who hands in your WP.

i hold the work permit with me so id be the one cancelling it i was after can i renew my visa for 30 days without extening the work permit as i will have finished my work on the date of expairy of the visa what can I do as i really want to avoid a visa run as iam going to leave the country a few weeks later anyway
