Will They Cancel Work Permit With Resignation?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew if a language school could cancel your work permit after you stop working for them. Do thry have the ability to do this and do most schools do this. Also, can they cancel your non B visa or will you be able to use this after your employment ends. What will most likely happen? Thanks.

Of course they will cancel your WP if you domt work for them anymore, yes they have the ability and they do it, further if you are on extension of stay, this will be cancelled and in essence you have 24 hours to get out the country unless you pay for a 7 day extension.

If you are not on extension of stay your Non-imm B would be valid until permitted to stay stamp expires

What do you mean by "extension of stay"?

You either have a stay of 90 days from hen you entered Thailand, this one does not expire when you quit your job, OR you went to immigration for an extension of stay for 1 year on your initial 90 day entry with your work permit an paperwork from the school. This extension is given because you work an ends when you no longer work.
