As it's christmas we tend to eat a lot if mince pies with custard, (and lots of other things with custard) I love custard!

My question is, what's the availability of custard in Thailand? I believe custard is a very 'British' thing.

I'm just lazy! In Britain I just buy ready made custard either in can or carton, warm it up and you're ready to go...

So do I, that Ambrosia Devon Custard is great on apple pie :o

That's the type I like too... Yummy!!!

Available at Villa ( in nov when i was last there).

You can now get Birds' custard powder (instant and traditional) at Tops Silom Complex at 145 baht for the traditional one.

Its a bit of pain making custard from scratch. So many things can go wrong if you don't know what you're doing, but if you get it right its wonderfull. My son is a skilled chef in fine dining and his custard is the best I've ever had.
