As it's christmas we tend to eat a lot if mince pies with custard, (and lots of other things with custard) I love custard!

My question is, what's the availability of custard in Thailand? I believe custard is a very 'British' thing.

It's available in the supermarkets, I've never tried it so don't know what it's like. Not Birds custard though!

I bought some custard powder at my local Tops supermarket last year. It tasted just fine.

You can now get Birds' custard powder (instant and traditional) at Tops Silom Complex at 145 baht for the traditional one.

:D alternatively you could make your own with egg yolks, cornflour, sugar, milk and vanilla pods :o

Yes, but I am way too lazy! :D

Its a bit of pain making custard from scratch. So many things can go wrong if you don't know what you're doing,but if you get it right its wonderfull.My son is a skilled chef in fine dining and his custard is the best I've ever had.
