BigJohnnyBKK Posted April 12, 2012 Share Posted April 12, 2012 Besides the general feeling of sorrow, I've also construed it as specifically expressing regret if it pertains to one's own actions. Not an apology like seeking forgiveness (that's kaw tawt) but internally regretting a bad decision. If it's in reference to another person's situtation it's like "so sorry for your troubles", almost but not expressing pity (song sahn). I'm guessing you may have expressed things in your sleep that caused her shock about the past or possibly to fear for the future.
