Yes, that sounds very plausible. But for a minimum wage worker its money. Yes, I am sure. Has had WP for years and is completely above board. A minimum-wage non-Thai doesn't get a bank account without WP, they even need their employer's help to open an account. But this whole experience was a bit traumatic. How can you keep your job if you don't have a bank account anymore? It's a bit like retirees who cannot get a bank account they need for the 800,000. -

Just to be clear, do you have an initial 3-month Non-O visa or a 1-year extension based on retirement? That could make a big difference for someone trying to open an account. -
