I live in Thailand now and heard that she has to be here for me to get a divorce here. Then someone told me if i have my divorce papers I'm free to get married again here in Thailand if I want. Veritas <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not strictly true, but in the case of USA and Thailand there are reciprocal agreements regarding marriage and divorce. sbk Posted December 22, 2005 Share Posted December 22, 2005 Have you tried asking the embassy about this? the US embassy has an American Citizens Services that you must go through to get married so perhaps they can give you some direction for the divorce.
