News_Editor Posted April 11, 2012 Share Posted April 11, 2012 Burma is set to streamline its company registration process for foreign investors, according to a report by the International Financial Law Review. Aye Ko, the director general of the Company Registration Office, said applications for foreign business permits would now be completed within three weeks. The process previously took up to one year. Would-be investors need only obtain approval from the regulatory ministry relevant to their industry, which will then approach the Myanmar Investment Commission, the national agency charged with issuing business permits.
