I need to go to UK for a month and want to bring my nanny. Does anyone know what the required documents are and how long the processing time is?

As you are an EU citizen you do not need a visa for the UK. Ditto for your children if they hold EU passports.

Your nanny does.

She could apply as a domestic worker, but you will need to show that she has been employed by you in your household for at least the last 12 months. The fee for this type of visa is 13500 baht.

Alternatively, she could apply for a visit visa, a 6 month one costs 3900 baht. You may find some of UK Visit Visa Basics, especially the links useful; though it is geared more toward social visits.

Visa processing times for Feb (the latest availabe) show that 99% of visit applications were processed within 15 days, and 100% of other non-settlement visas within 40 days.

Just occurred to me.

If she enters the UK with a visit visa she will be barred from working, so I think that the domestic worker one is the only option.
