Lampang To Tak

Featured Replies

I am not sure where to post the question. So I just put at CM, nearest place. Is there any bus from lampang to Tak? Other then Greenbus.

Many pass through there form Chiang Mai and head down to Tak and beyond. You can catch any, but beware that this next week or so will be very vewy busy

I am heading down Saterday if you need to share a ride and a little gas money

Numerous buses, but most of them are on their way to Bangkok. If you hope for one with a spare seat, that means a bus for Mae Sot.... oh, that means Greenbus. What's wrong with Greenbus? I've travelled on it several times.

Thanks Jeff for the offer. I plan to go there after songkram when the offices are reopened.

I don't like to take greenbus because I am starting from mae sai and the bus will go according to their route which is time consuming. Mae sai to CM and CM to Mae Sot.

If you're starting from Mae Sai, surely you can get a direct bus? What's this about starting from Lampang, as your first post says? If you're breaking the journey, Greenbus is still your best alternative, as from Lampang to Tak it goes straight down Route 1 (I think).

Yes, Tak is on the main route from the North to Bangkok. So you can likely get something direct. (If not from Mae Sai then from Chiang Rai)

Greenbus has direct from mae sai to mae sot but as said above, it goes to ChingMai and then CM to Maesai.

Actually I can take minibus to CR and then CR to Lampang, which will just be about 4hours travel altogether. And then from Lampang to Tak or to Mae sot, the journey has become a alot shorter.

I suppose the buses from BKK to Mae sot will pass by Lampang station?

I think the only option to get a hold of those bkk to mae sot buses? Or is there any minibus?

Bkk to Mae Sot buses don't go anywhere Lampang; do you mean Bkk to Mae Sai? When you say Lampang station, I suppose you mean 'bus station'? Yes, from there, there are plenty of buses to Tak; most buses to Bkk will go via Tak.

I suppose the buses from BKK to Mae sot will pass by Lampang station?

No, they pass Tak. Lampang is a lot further North.
