Thai Noodle Soup Cart

Featured Replies

Hi there,

We are wanting to import a Thai Noodle Soup Cart from Thailand to Australia. We have searched the internet to no avail.

Does anyone know any contacts in Thailand for a manufacturer?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Monica.

Are you serious? Just have someone make it in Australia.

I just wanted to get a quote from a manufacturer in Thailand first to compare. After labour, materials etc in Australia...it may even be cheaper to ship a ready made, pre-assembled one from Thailand?

if you get it inspected in australia, they'll send it to the dump with no money given back.

IF you dont at some point you're gonna get into a lot of trouble.

A standard cart - one hole for hot water and one for cooking with oil, all stainless is around 70,000 baht here!! See attached link, price does not include pots, burners etc!!http://importfood.com/thai_street_vendor_cart.html

As Semper says, it would be much cheaper to get one made in Oz. I doubt very much that a Thai combo would be considered road legal in any westernised country or meet food hygiene/safety standards etc.

The motorcycle food-stalls you are talking about are normally run up by local fabricators to an individual specification. Take a used bike and a drawing to any metalworking workshop and the guys there will build it for you.

They're all 'bespoke'. Never seen one with a Toyota logo...

my gf built one for about 5000baht

70k baht lol.
