Serious Accident On Nimmahaemin

Some poor guy around 6-7pm got completely run over by a car opposite smoothy blues/tesco lotus on nimmanhaemin rd, when i got there about 10 guys were scrambling around a car using a car jack to lift it because some poor sole was underneath it completely, didn't seem to be a motorbike involved from what i could see but i have to commend the guys who between them lifted the car a couple of feet off the ground to allow them to free him just as the ambulance arrived. could well have saved his life as i imagine it was crushing him, was great to see him move his arm as he was put in the ambulance, appeared western from his build but his face was too bloody to tell, i really hope he was ok, makes you appreciate how quick things can change, no idea how he ended up complety under the car, normally traffic is slow around there, anyway regardless get well soon and if anyone knows that guy he can thank those brave guys that happened to be in the area both thai and farang, incredible strength to hold it for at leasr 30 secs while he was moved.

i still cant figure out what happened, traffic was very heavy so i cant imagine the car was going fast, i hate to judge but the person i seen leaving the car at the time i arrived didnt seem at all bothered or upset but they could have been retrieving something for the owner so i wouldnt put any faith in that accusation, im sure the actual driver was in pure shock

I saw the same thing in front of the bars at JJ Market earlier in the week. But this accident involved a motorcycle. Somehow the driver of the motorcycle ended up underneath the car who he/she collided with. The rescue people and 2 ambulances where already there and they were using a hydraulic floor jack to lift up the car to get the victim out from under. Did not look good I have to say. I too was surprised at the severity of the accident in that location. There are two traffic lights right there and always so many cars traveling slowly by and people standing on the street/crossing the street that it is difficult to drive fast there. I was impressed at how the rescue people were dealing with the situation. They were very professional. What a sad situation.

One only has to stand (well off the road) around Soi 1, 2 or 3 on Nimminheiman Rd up towards the Rin Kham intersection to view the speeds vehicles enter Nimminheiman Rd off the "super highway".

Also watch the traffic heading towards the green light at Rin Kham from Nimmin Rd, especially if there is a faint chance of making the green light right turn onto Huai Kaeo Rd.

They fly along on the incorrect side of the road overtaking the other 2 lanes of vehicles, forcing oncoming motorcycles and vehicles way off to the side, to make that right turn!

Be very careful if you are turning left onto Nimman from Huai Keao Rd..

Why is that police box situated at the Rin Kham intersection..??
