Was Today The Hottest Day So Far This Year?

As of 5:30 here in Mae Taeng with the sun behind the trees it is still 37 degrees C. Took a mountain bike ride today and it was indeed a scorcher. I think there are going to be a lot of sun burned people tomorrow.

Yes, this is probably right, as my place, Padet (for some reason) is always about 2 C 'colder' than other places. So was it the hottest day so far?

This doesn't have it down to one decimal point but indicates other 38 degree days this month. wonderground Lampang shows a couple of 39 degree days, the 13th and today the 15th.

Coldest I've been this year.

People not participating in Songkran are not allowed to complain about any hear. Som.. nam.. etc.

Anyway, it seems it only got to 37.4 downtown.

But there was more water there to cool things down. wink.png

Yes, but it's all over now. partytime2.gif

/ Priceless

I just noticed that the days of the week on this chart are in abbreviated Swedish language usage.

Is that all you have changed on the chart(s), Priceless?

Just kidding...keep your shirt on.jap.gif

Don't blame me, blame Windows! (I wish I could find an easy work-around...)

I think the sun was set on "sear" today. After lunch we went for a short motorcycle ride in the mountains and it sure was hot. Luckily the village kids were still throwing water so we could seek out the occasional cool drenching!

Well, as to today, 16 April it seemed even hotter than yesterday to me.

But lo and behold, the aqmthai site only shows temps at 1100, then jumps to 1800.

Likewise the moving average for PM10 shows as "No Data".

This screenshot is not interactive, but if you go to the site http://aqmthai.com/ and select Chiang Mai City Hall, then select TEMP, then select "graph", then move your slider along the graph line...you'll see what I'll talking about.

Why is it that every time we have a seriously bad smoke day, or a day when it is particularly hot....the data goes missing?

Just wondering, and no I don't think Elvis was abducted by aliens, or that Jimmy Hoffa is living in Geneva Switzerland under an assumed identity.

Also, look here:

http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=ICHANGWA3&day=16&year=2012&month=4&graphspan=year

And just to complicate the issue, there are apparently two reporting stations in Chiang Mai (not including data from the Pollution Control Department.

That ought to keep the discussion going, in Swedish or whatever!
