Possible To Get A Tourist Visa Now?

Featured Replies

I am currently on a 90 day non-imm B without a work permit. I am working "on probation" (either myself or the school can elect to not continue after the period is over) which is now ending. The school wants to process my WP and get the 1 year extension. However I am not wanting to continue with this school. Is there any problem with me leaving Thailand and getting a tourist visa to return? I don't have the WP or teaching license or anything else that would need to be canceled or turned in, but is there anything else I would need to take care of before I would be allowed to leave?

In addition, I have had 3 visa waiver entries since December 2011 (when I was looking for a job). Isn't there some kind of limit as to the number of entries allowed in a 6 month period?

Thanks for any help!

There is no visa exempt entry limit (that ended when they made land entry 15 days).

There likely will not be an issue leaving. Although it appear you may have been working illegally if no work permit was applied for.

That's what I thought but the school said it is ok and when I received the non-imm B in Laos they just put a notice in my passport saying "the applicant is advised to apply for work permit which should be presented to the authorities next time"
