Goshawk Posted April 19, 2012 Share Posted April 19, 2012 Looks like a Checkered Keelback: Close... its a Yellow-spotted or Common Keelback (Xenochrophis flavipunctatus). A close relative of the Chequered that used to be considered the same species as it was thought to be just a colour variant of the same animal. Now recognised a separate species. The difference is in the head pattern, lack of strong chequered markings & detail to certain scales. A recent i.d. thread featured the same snake.
