With the huge push to get more qualified, expert, foreign language teaching positions filled throughout the education realm, is the Labor Dept. folks bending a bit to let currently employed teachers, take on smaller two-hour per day gigs, teaching foreign languages? I know it can be done under the table, but that does leave open the possibility of a can of worms, later. The only thing I can glean from this forum is from a post several years back, with the main employer, (university in my case) agreeing to another job being signed on to the current work permit. Has anyone encountered this, yet? I have been asked by three different primary and secondary schools to come in and teach for two hours per week and they are paying for it. I am talking about qualified teachers, native speakers with at least a Masters Degree, not some tourist. Please advise. ett
