I have a visa and was first used in 10/2010, the visa says I had to enter by 2011 but say nothing about when I had to use the two other entries. Now next month I am going to enter does it make my type O still good for 90 days

Thanks

It does not say invalid just have to start using by 11/2011

It is multiple entry and start using before that date not that I had to enter a certain time after I leave the first time

You are misreading that visa as a multi entry non immigrant visa is only valid fur entry for one year from date of issue. So if issued on 10 Oct 2010 it would only be valid until 10 Oct 2011 and no entry could be made later than the 2011 date. Where you are thinking "two other entries" do not have a clue and a multi entry visa is only limited by actual usage (you can use every day).

As you are either on overstay or have an extension of stay from immigration currently (unless on another type of entry) you need to check your passport for current permitted to stay until stamp.

The enter before date is the last day the visa can be used and if a non immigrant O visa only provides a 90 day stay. Do you perhaps have a retirement O-A visa? With that you get a one year permitted to stay stamp.

Issued 09/10/2010

Says enter before 09/09/2011

Entered first time 09/20/2010

Left 10/19/2010

Was planning to return sooner but got stuck in USA

Category. O

No. Of entry. M

Type Non-Immigrant

Marriage visa

Planning on arrival to Chiangmai On May 05/02/2012

Will I have problem with one way ticket at airport immigration when I land in Chaingmai?

One post with totally false information removed.

You do not have a valid visa so it is unlikely airline will even allow you to travel - but if they do you will only receive a 30 day visa exempt entry stamp. Your visa expired 09/09/2011

Come on many times I have entered the country with a one way ticket and given a visa upon entry

I do not need to show airline a valid visa to enter

And I can always go to border every 15 days after the first 30 day visa upon entry is given

You must have onward transportation if you do not have a visa and airline can deny boarding without. You are never given a visa upon entry (visa exempt entry is the term). We were not discussing border runs.

Some airlines don't check, others check very strict and will leave without you. The airline can be fined for taking passenger who does not meet the entry requirements.

It is a risk you take, how high the risk is depends on which airline you fly with.

Ok

Since tickets are not issued but are gotten before the flight

Would an itinerary showing a flight to England in 20 days be proof?

An initiary will not do.

You have an E-ticket, with booking number etc. That is enough for the ailine, they can check this information in a database or you can print the e-ticket.

Because it is a short haul flight on Silk - but even then it could be a problem so always best to check-in early in case you have to buy a ticket last minute to keep airline happy.

So it is agreed that if I go and get a 30 day visa at consulate I will be ok on planes and entry into Chiangmai ?

The consulate allows for an itenarray to be used as proof and not an eticket.

Now all I have to do is get some pictures and get to Miami .

I hope can get the same day too.

Depending on your nationality, you will get 30 or 60 days with a tourist visa. For a US citizen it should be 60 days.

The consulate will want to see a initianary, if you only need 30 days and a are a US citizen you don't need a visa (but in that case you need to show a ticket out within 30 days of arrival to the airline.

For Future reference a Non Immigrant O Multi entry allows you to enter and leave Thailand as many times as you like during that 12 month period.

If you enter Thailand a day before the Visa expires you can get a further 90 days effectively giving you a 15 month visa.

If you never use the visa or only use it once or even 100 times during the 12 month Period the Thai gov't don't care. It expires exactly 12 months after issue.
