msg362
As the heat gets even worse and all I can do is wait for it to go away, my mind starts wandering ( more than usual). I think of cool cans of cider, cold white wine and then wonder who is it that sticks those bits of blue paper over each and every one? Is there a man in Klong Toey who spends his life ( rather like a painter of the Forth Bridge) sticking them on?. Are there many of them doing this? Is this why wine costs so much here?( We have to pay for the stickers). Does he use his tongue or is he allowed a bowl with water in? So many questions, so few answers! I hope the rain comes soon! jinjinswing
noooo the blue label fairy comes after the plant closes down....cooler time...and with glue made from cow dung and pig gut porcededs to stick those famous labels you wrote about...the glue adds .003% to the alcohol so be careful how much mouth you put over the bottle...i use a glass but if you pick up from 7/11 and wanna drink it on the way home...use a straw.
p_brownstone
He gets a Bonus for applying the Sticker in such a way that it leaves glue on the lip of the can over which the liquid will flow as it is poured, or, as I well know, over the start point of the tear off closure on bottles of Chivas Regal . Ijustwannateach
I'm guessing they have to buy the books of tax stamps with the lot they import- and whomever actually does the importing step slaps 'em on.
