Non-Immigrant 'O' Visa.

Featured Replies

Hello,

Could somebody please inform me where i can get a Non-Immigrant 'O' Multi entry Visa,

I am English,55 years old,Married to Thai 8 years, dont have the funds to get Retirement Visa here,

Can i get Visa in Vientiane? or will i have to go Penang where i believe i can get one,

and what money do i need to show to get Visa,

Thank you to anyone who replies with info.

Being married to a Thai the best place to go is cuurently Savanakhet in Laos.

With

- marriage certificate and recent copy of entry in wedding register

- copy of wife's ID and household registration

- small note from wife asking for a visa for you

Do you have the 400k or 40k income to obtain extension of stay for marriage (assuming you are male)?

If you need visa Savannakhet is currently the best choice for multi entry non immigrant O with no requirement for show of funds. KL in Malaysia is second with requirement for 100k in bank.

Posted on another forum but just did this route and the Thai consulate sent me the following reply;

I would like to answer your question that you asked Non-immigrant Type O visa based on marriage like that:

- Visa application form

- 2 photos

- Passport copy and original

- Wife Thai ID card (copy)

- Wife Thai Tabien Ban (copy)

- Marry certificate (copy) and original

- Wife Thai Passport copy

- Bank statement

Fee 5,000 THB

Time for give Visa 9:00A.M – 11:00 A.M you get back next day 2:00 P.M

They "did not" as for the bank statement though. Was at the consulate for a total of 3 minutes and had my passport returned the next day at 2:07pm.

Good information but you left out the most critical part (and what the OP asked). Which consulate did you use?

Sophon

Ooops...Savannakhet (opposite Mukdahan) and they were great!
