April 26, 201214 yr Hi, we are looking to buy a 15-20kVA diesel generator with automatic start and automatic off-on-grid switching module to power the computer network during long power outages. We contacted a large Keehin shop here in Phuket an all they can offer are the no-name Chinese generators. Could anyone recommend a generator brand what is available in Thailand (and support for it is available too)? I know about CAT but looks like they have only larger gensets? And can you recommend a supplier in Phuket or Bangkok? Even better if they have a team who can install it. Thanks Gregory

April 26, 201214 yr An import from Europe per ship and the customs clearing isn't difficult, if there is time. Minimum 5 weeks for the shipping.
April 27, 201214 yr Cummins, avaliable in Bangkok. They deliver and have installation http://www.cumminspower.com/www/literature/brochures/APSB-1108-06-PowerSolutions-en.pdf
April 30, 201214 yr Thanks as always Crossy... by the way, I have just received some 4 pole, 63 amp rotary manual transfer switches from Europe, pasting a couple of photos below, including a couple of an installed switch I sent down to an electrician down in Hua Hin. It was a relatively pricey option, but I should be able to bring the switch alone in under your hundred quid hurdle if I order them a dozen or so at a time. Gregory - sending you an email now, hope to speak to you soon. Genset
May 1, 201214 yr Those switches look like a Kraus and Naimer product. Certainly expensive but excellent quality. Can be specially ordered in any combination of switching sequence.
