Suicide bomber hits police convoy in eastern Nigeria, killing 10 < br /> 2012-05-01 06:28:02 GMT+7 (ICT) JALINGO, NIGERIA (BNO NEWS) -- At least ten people were killed on early Monday morning when a suicide bomber struck a convoy carrying a senior police officer in eastern Nigeria, officials said. Nearly two dozen others were injured, some seriously. The attack took place at around 8:30 a.m. local time in Jalingo, the state capital of Taraba, when a suicide bomber riding a motorcycle crashed into the police convoy. Police Commissioner Mamman Sule was in the attacked convoy, although it was not immediately clear if he was the target of the attack."There are ten confirmed fatalities," a police officer said, speaking on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to the press. The officer said at least one of the fatalities was a police officer, and 21 other people were reported to be injured. Some were seriously injured.Sule survived the attack, although it was unclear if he was among those injured. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, but the Boko Haram have been blamed for most of the region's terrorist attacks and seeks the imposition of an extremist stance of the Shariah law, which is a Muslim code of conduct. The group's name, in the local language of Hausa, roughly translates as 'Western religion is sacrilegious' or 'non-Islamic religion is a sin.'Monday's attack came just one day after at least 20 people were killed when a group of gunmen riding a vehicle and two motorcycles targeted two church services at Bayero University in Nigeria's northern city of Kano. The attackers hurled explosives and opened fire, killing scores of people and injuring others. tvn.png

Nothing new really and there will be many more attacks on Christians and those who seek to protect them in Nigeria and similar Country,s ,in essence there is no need for any one to discredit Islam as they do such a magnificent job of it themselves don't they, never the less I will continue to write what I and millions of others know is the undoubted truth.

Colin, As per the 20 blown up outside a church the other day this is totally invisible to the western media as they are Christian blacks being murdered for religious reasons, yet our numbskull leaders find this fact embarrassing to their narrative so nobody even sees the elephant in the room. The deathtoll in Sudan was over a million before anyone in the west could be arsed looking so don't expect any change from the usual suspects who will be more concerned with apologizing over the latest Koran burning.
