PATTAYA:--10 youths aged between 15 and 18 have been arrested by Pattaya Police, accused of being part of a gang who are known to have committed many necklace snatches around the Pattaya area.

The 10 arrestees were presented to the gathered media by Police Lieutenant General Panya, Region 2 Police Commissioner who revealed how the gang would work in two separate teams. One would be responsible for the theft and the stolen item would then be quickly transferred to a second team who would then speed off with the stolen item.

They would mainly target foreigners and two of their victims, a Russian Couple, were present to identify two of the arrestees. The group were caught thanks to a raid of a Gold Shop where many stolen items were found. Further investigations led to the arrest of the gang and the seizure of a firearm and a number of stolen necklaces still in their possession.
