This months edition of the PSI “Satellite” magazine contains an article on the Decoder – PC interface software but it is written in Thai and as we who use it know PSI does not do much for us Thai illiterate farang.

I managed to work my way thru it and downloaded the relevant OS files and latest HEX database from their WEB site. At this stage I’m not prepared to connect (RS232) until I’ve heard from someone that has successfully upgraded their PSI Decoder without corrupting it. I did note that the latest database does not list the PAS8 satellite channels so I know I will have to download the existing HEX file from the decoder and merge it with the upgraded version.

Anyone done it?
