Illegal Chinese Call Center Operation in East Pattaya shut down by Immigration Police

PATTAYA:--An illegal Chinese-run Call Center operation in East Pattaya has been shut down by Immigration Police.

In a joint operation involving Pattaya Immigration Officers and the Immigration Central Investigation Division, based in Bangkok and armed with a search warrant, officers conducted a raid of a luxury house on Friday located close to the train track in East Pattaya and arrested 20 Chinese National and 2 Thai’s.

Immigration Officers held a press conference at the house to announce the arrests and the process used by the call centre operators to trick Chinese citizens into transferring money via ATM to accounts belonging to the call centre operation.
