A Siberian husky, that's strange, for some reasons I was expecting a Bull Terrier. -

Why do people want to live in Isaan?
I do find it strange that whenever Isaan is mentioned, a few creeps come out of the woodwork to slag the place off, when they probably know very little about the place, other than from their bar stool dribbling in their beer at "girly-land"........🤔 -

Why do people want to live in Isaan?
Sounds like you did well on the original developments. Good luck with your next (and hopefully last) project. -

Marriage to Thai lady
Have your wife check the requirements of the local Amphur where you intend to register your marriage, but I'd guess they want an Embassy certified affidavit and copy of passport, translated and legalised by the MFA. After getting my Embassy certified affidavit and copy of passport, I chose to accept the service of the afore mentioned translation office to make the translated, have them legalised by the MFA, then returned to our home address via EMS, which saved hanging around Bangkok. Documents received 4 days later. They usually offer to simply translate the documents, have them legalised by the MFA and return EMS for a fee, or in addition actually obtain a marriage certificate from an Amphur in Bangkok for a much larger fee. (Guessing that was inclusive of the 29,000 BHT an agent quoted you). The Amphurs in Bangkok run a scam where they will state they are booked for weeks, but for an additional fee, they can marry the same day. My advice is just to go for the translations and legalisation by the MFA and marry at your local Amphur.
