FarangBuddha
I think I saw a couple trucks among the cars for rent at the Exzite parking lot car rental operation. However, I don't know if these informal rental operations provide proper insurance.

Darrel
This place seems cheaper than the others for pick-up weekly rates. http://www.qcars.net/pick_up.php
LennyW
This place seems cheaper than the others for pick-up weekly rates. http://www.qcars.net/pick_up.php 12,000 / wk for a 4wd 4 door vigo as opposed to 9000 wk for same model from Pattaya rent a car would suggest otherwise. Moonbase
Expat car rental at the junction of Jomtien Second Rd. and Thepprasit had a couple of pick ups for rent when.... Here the link http://www.expatcarrent.com/ Had dealing with them in the past, you really really have to be careful about the extras they add to your bill and watch the charges you will incur for the slightest imperfection when returning the vehicle. Yes they have first class insurance but you are paying through the nose for it. There are better places in Pattaya both Thai and expat owned. This is not a problem if renting from a legit car/truck rental business but if you go to one of the more informal rentals, insist to see the rental contract and verify that it is actually for the vehicle in question, that it is a current policy, and that it covers rental/hire of the vehicle. rod2011
If you are going to Korat why not fly to a closer airport and hire from there ? Maybe you have friends or equipment you need to take from Pattaya ?
Satcommlee
If it's cheap then there is usually a reason and usually it is no Rental Insurance! I have used www.escape-rentals.com who are on Soi Dianna, smashed up the front end of the car and there was no problems just loss of deposit (as expected) and they even let me rent again. I've heard so many horror stories about the cowboy rental companies.. charging for time off the road after an accident and invalid insurance leaving the hirer responsible for 3rd party damages etc..
