Thank you for that - Now can we accept that Yingluck did not promise that there will be no flooding this year, but simply that such a disaster would not be repeated again, i.e that disaster being the results of the floods.

edited to add..............especially when the sentence "such a disaster would not be repeated again" is qualified by the following "and that the Government of Thailand would take financial measures toward prevention." (of that disaster - does this mean that she will give money to nature to not have floods again - of course not so therefore there is only one correct meaning of her statement.

And if you don't accept this, I really do not care...........................
