Is it any easier or is the procedure any different for a Malaysian to acquire a Thai work permit ( presently in Thailand). I was told some Malaysians don't need work permits but can't find calarification or confirmation regarding this. Anyone know?

Malaysians that have Thai citizenship don't need work permits. If you don't have Thai citizenship then I wouldn't believe anything anyone tells you about work permits unless they are from the Labor Department.

There are seperate rules for nationals of Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar. For Malaysians the normal work permit rules apply.
