Got a bottle of wine from Laos and was woundering about taking it back to canada on one of my trips there for a present for someone, is this allowed ? It has a snake in the bottle not sure if many others have seen this in lao.

If the Canadian customs give you hassle just drink it and let them have the empty bottle,

So long as it is not endangered you should be ok. I`ve seen people bring it into Canada before.

Not sure if Canadian customs is anything like Australian customs; they confiscated all my "cobra in a bottles" to "discourage trade in wildlife".

Depends on custom officer, everytime i carried to US and Europe they let me go even when checked.

My friend in UK even bought 10 bottles on The Vietnamese AsianSnakeWine website and received by post without problem, seems like snakes are from farm, not wild.
