    Wonderful video. Just sent the TV link to a friend in the UK who was (legally) working in Bangkok at the time, and is coming back for a holiday this year - 16 years later. The changes are just mind-blowing.

    I was a field Engineer at the time for TAC. It was a time of terrible traffic jams due to the building of the Sky Train....I mean REAL traffic jams not like the rush hour inconveniences nowadays.

    When I arrived I was sent to different areas of the city every day to clear faults untill I knew BKK better than the locals!!
