Do I Need Visa To Go To Los From Uk For 43 Days ?

Featured Replies

hi all,

im going to thailand from 14 june untill 26 july 2012. do i need visa ? and what type visa ? is it not possible just to get a 30 day on entry then make a border run to cambo or laos to get a further 15 days ?

reason i ask is because im just back from los and when i went to airport last time the emerites check in staff asked me did i not have a valid visa, i told them i didnt need one as im only going for 28 days, the guy behind the counter looked up his calender and calculated the days , if i had of been going for 30 or more days they wouldnt of let me fly !!

i have flew into thailand before for more than a month without a visa and had no problems with boarding a flight domestic then international, then get a 30 day stamp then go make a visa run.

what should i do ? also my child is travelling with us, my kid has only a uk passport, her mum is thai, will she need a visa ?

thankyou

Yes you can get a visa exempt on arrival and do a border run. You will/may need a return ticket within the 30 day period or your airline may not let you board. If you have a flexible ticket you can change your departure date once you land.

You can also go to the embassy and get a 60 day visa for a few quid. This will let you travel on a one way ticket or at your leisure on a return

If staying for longer than 30 days you need a Tourist Visa.

Apply at a Thai Consulate in UK.

The Child also needs a Visa.

You should get her a Thai Passport to make it easier in future.
