Going to need a car for 10 days, something like a honda city/toyota vios for the family.

Obviously looking for good rates but also needs to be good company with insurance cover etc....no cowboys.

Hertz are currently doing a promo for 769B/day incl full extra top-up insurance. Or just 555B/day with regular CDW.

Presumably the 555 is to do with May 55.

    16k per month i paid which is just over 500 baht per day so not expensive at all

    +1 for Holiday Car Rental, is the best non commercial (avis/budget etc etc etc) place to rent from.

    Holiday Car Rental appears to be more expensive than the full Hertz offer, and their insurance comes with 8000B excess. Hertz excess is zero with the extra insurance payment of 214B/day or 10000B without, in which case the rental is only 555B. This applies even to one-day rentals.

    I did a 3 month rental, with full coverage. I did compare prices, and theirs was very competitive. Plus, the car was almost brand new.

    Upon return, they didn't even check it for damage as I had full coverage! Nice.
