A One Year Non-O Visa From Sawannakhet

Featured Replies

Hello

I've heard that a few times now that it would be possible to apply for a one year Non- O multiple entry visa by just showing a marriage certificate, ID of wife etc

I did that a few times in Germany before, is it possible that this is an International law working out at ALL Thai consulates around the globe.?

Any input would be deeply appreciated.

Being married to a Thai makes one eligable for a non-O visa, but each consulate sets it own rules regarding the supporting documents they want to see for issueing a non-O visa.

For a multiple non-O visa generally more documents are required than for a single non-O.

There is no such International law. Yes Savannakhet will normally issue multi entry without need for check of financials. KL will issue with proof of 100k. Others may issue with none to 400k requirement. It is up to the Consulate. The normal paperwork is are is original marriage certificate/copy and signed copies of spouse ID card and home register.

Guy down the road from me did the Savannakhet run 3 months ago, took his wife and 3 kids along. Usual paper work originals and copies. No need to show money, said it was easy. Jim
