Work Permit & "b" Visa Renewal

Featured Replies

My single entry three month "B" visa expires the beginning of February as does my work permit. Am I right in thinking that I am unable to get any extension to my visa and have to leave the country and get a new "b" visa before I can extend my work permit. I am sure the question has been asked before but any help any members can give would be very much appreciated.

The whole idea is to obtain an extension of stay for one year at a time and then have your work permit changed to that period. If you can not meet the immigration requirements do to low pay or whatever you will have to take your work permit (and perhaps other documents) to a Consulate and obtain a new visa and then change work permit to match you new entry period.
