Non-B Visa Application Travel Agent (Multiple Entry)

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I need to go to a Thai embassy to get a non-B. I want to keep the cost low so I thought about using a travel agency. I read many good comments about Sawasdee tranport company but I would like to get a multiple entry and they apply in Lao where they only issue single entry non-B. So, can you recommend some companies that go to some embassy where I can get a multiple entry non-B?

Your only good choice for a multiple entry B visa is Kuala Lumpur Malaysia which for most will mean flying there. You will need all the required documents pertaining to the company and a work permit.

See the reports of getting B multiple entries listed here http://www.thaivisa....in-the-region/# .

Keep the costs low by going yourself and not using an agency. I think all the embassys in the region only offer single entry, ( I could be wrong about that) then you get an extension from immigration and can buy a re-entry permit if you want to leave and come back to keep your visa valid. There is your answer in the previous post, which was not yet posted as I was writing.

Thanks for replying.

I wasn't aware that only KL will issue multiple entry visas, and I also didn't know about getting a re-entry permit. I don't need to get out of the country often, just go somewhere when I have some holidays or maybe some weekend. Can you tell me the price of those permits and how do you need to apply for them? Is there any limit on the number of re entry permits you can get?

EDIT: So probably my best choice in order to keeping the costs low would be going to Cambodia or Lao by bus, right?

I need to go to a Thai

Visas are given by a Thai consulate...not the Thai embessy. In most countries there is one Thai embessy, but usually more than one Thai consulate. The counsulates issue visas.

Almost always you will find agencies that advertise "visa services" are more expensive than doing it yourself....because the visa service charges a fee on top of the visa costs for thier service.

Getting a non-B multi entry visa is difficult anywhere in Southeast Asia. What the consulate will usually give you is a single entry non-B good for 90 days on entry...and tell you to extend that in Thailand at your local Thai immigration. This is becoming the norm. Extensions for multi entry visas are based on need for a multi-entry visa, and that is if you can convince immigration you need one.

For example, if you worked as a sales rep or a customer service rep for a Thai company....and that job required you to make repeated trips outside of Thailand because of your job....you would be a good candidate for a non-B multi entry visa.

But that will require documentation from your company to convince the Thai immigration that you need a multi entry visa.

Otherwise, as someone already mentioned, you will get a non-B extension and a Work Permit. You will need to purchase a exit-rentry permit for each trip outside of Thailand to keep that extension active each time you leave the country and return.

Re-entry permits available at any immigration office in Thailand single 1,000 Bhat, multiple 3,800 Bhat, only good for the length of the visa.

You say that you need a Non B visa. Have you found employment? What makes you think that you need this type of visa??

No limit to the number of re-entry permits.

Laos is better 2 days for visa. Cambodia 4 days or more.

All consulates or embassys accept applications in the mornings only and pick up on the following day in the afternoon....except Cambodia.

Actually a re-entry permit is valid for the current permitted to stay period.

Although the Embassy does not provide the visa Embassies have a Consulate Section that does (even if not always co-located).

Immigration does not provide multi entry visas - only a Consulate can provide such.

@IMA_FARANG, You are right as there are only one embassy per country and consulates can issue visas. However, for instance, I believe the Thai consulate in Siem Reap don't issue visas.

@ColabaMumbai Yes, found employment and already applied for work permit and got the letter from labour. Also have all the paperwork from the company

From above (not having work permit) do not believe any Consulate in the Asia region will issue a multi entry B visa for employment. Take the company paperwork and Labor receipt and obtain yourself to save expense.

The only MFA mission in Cambodia is as below:

Visa and Consular Section : 08.30–11.00 hrs. (Submission Time) 14.00-16.00 hrs (Collection Time)

Are you working now and have work permit? What your current visa status?

Re-entry permits are only issued for a permit to stay either from an extension of stay issued by immigration or from a visa entry of any type. The permit keeps the current permit to stay date valid when you leave the country. Re-entry permits costs 1000 baht for a single entry and 3800 baht for a multiple entry.

Edit: Post a little late but had glitches with posting this.

Thai Embassys closed Monday June 4. Visaka Bucha Day.

What makes you think that DIY is cheaper than agency?

There is no Thai Consulate in Siam Reap.

If you have paperwork, but no valid Work Permit you will get only Single Entry Non Immigrant Visa in SEA. Kuala Lumpur would issue multiple yearly visa, but they ask for a Work Permit with a remaing validity if at lea 8month.
