June 1, 201214 yr Me and my wife are going to be flying to America soon.. We figured we would like to get a flight with a 10 hour layover in some country.. Maybe Japan.. We realise we do not need any kind of visa to simple sit at the airport and wait for the next flight but we wanted to walk around Japan.. I am an American citizen so there is no problem for me of course. Is there anyway my Thai wife can walk around Japan for a few hours? Besides applying for a 30-90day visa.. and besides paying for some tour.. I was thinking some kind of transit visa like they do at Dubai.. but cant find much Thanks
June 1, 201214 yr Nope, she will have to get a visa for Japan. In Singapore, Hong Kong, and S. Korea, she can get a visa on arrival and go walk around with you (and all have direct flights to the States).
