Canadian killer warned British tabloid in email sent from Holland < br />

2012-06-02 03:25:06 GMT+7 (ICT)

OTTAWA, ONTARIO (BNO NEWS) -- A Canadian man suspected of killing a man and mailing parts of his victim's body to the headquarters of political parties in Ottawa is believed to have sent an email warning to a British tabloid in December 2011, the publication reported on Friday.

After The Sun published a story about 29-year-old Luka Rocco Magnotta in December last year, he showed up unannounced at the tabloid's office in London to deny he was responsible for a video which showed kittens being suffocated inside a vacuum seal bag and a more recent video showing a kitten being fed to a python.

However, just days after Magnotta's visit, The Sun newspaper received a mysterious e-mail on December 10. The email was written under the name John Kilbride, a possible reference to a 12-year-old British boy who was brutally murdered by serial killer Ian Brady in November 1963.

"Well, I have to say goodbye for now, but dont worry, in the near future you will be hearing from me again," the email, riddled with typos, said. "This time, however, the victims wont be small animals. I will however, send you a copy of the new video im going to be making. You see, killing is different than smoking ... with smoking you can actually quit."

The writer, who is believed to be Magnotta, goes on and further hints at taking his killings to a new level. "Once you kill, and taste blood, its impossible to stop. The urge is just too strong not to continue," the email said. "Next time you hear from me it will be in a movie I am producing, that will have some humans in it, not just pussys. :) The things I have seen and the things I have done, you can only imagine."

The writer of the email also indicates his interest in one of the tabloid's male journalists. "You have some very sexy journilists (sic) at your paper :) I have one im very keen on now. He was very sexy," the writer says. Magnotta, who is bisexual, previously worked as a low-budget pornographic actor.

The email also indicates the person derives pleasure from taunting people. "You know, the fun part of all this is watching millions of people get angry and frustrated because they cant catch me. Thats why I love this. I love the risk factor. Its so fun watching people work so hard gathering all the evidence, then not being able to name me or catch me," the person writes. "You see, I always win, I always hold the trump card, and I will continue to make more movies."

He concludes the email with: "Well, it was fun f[explicit] around with everyone, so have a merry christmas and a happy new years. I know I will. :) Getting away with all this, now thats genius. Signed, Yours Truly. (Or is it?)"

Believing the chilling message was written by Magnotta, The Sun reported both the e-mail and the kitten videos to Scotland Yard, which briefly investigated the complaint. "An allegation of malicious communication in the form of an email was made by a man to the Metropolitan Police," a Scotland Yard spokesperson said on Friday.

The spokesperson confirmed it launched an investigation, but it was dropped because both the email and the videos did not originate from the United Kingdom. "An investigation by Islington Police established the origin of the email to be from the Netherlands," the spokesperson said. "Therefore, no crime could be proven to have been committed within the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Police."

But the spokesperson said British police did not liaise with authorities abroad, including police in Canada who may have been interested in knowing about the contents of the email. "It had not been possible to glean information regarding any specific locations within 'North America' (US or Canada) or the Netherlands, and as such there was no specific local Force to pass any intelligence to," the spokesperson added.

In regards to the videos showing kittens being killed, Islington police officers found they were also outside their jurisdiction as they were posted from somewhere in North America. "Therefore, no crime could be proven to have been committed within the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Police. During the initial stages of the investigation, officers liaised with the RSPCA," the spokesperson added, referring to the UK's leading animal welfare charity.

Also on Friday, Montreal police identified the murder victim as 33-year-old Lin Jun, a Chinese student who studied at Concordia University. He was last seen on May 24 but was not reported missing until Tuesday, the day two packages containing body parts were found in Ottawa and a suitcase containing a torso was found in Montreal.

Montreal police spokesman Commander Ian Lafrenière said investigators believe Magnotta knew Lin, although it is unclear if they were friends or romantically involved. He said several body parts remain missing, but declined to say which. A severed foot and hand were found in the packages, and additional parts were recovered at Magnotta's house.

Meanwhile, Lafrenière said Magnotta is believed to have taken a flight from Montreal's Trudeau airport to the French capital of Paris on Saturday. However, police are unsure if he remains in Paris or has since fled to another country.

It gets worse. It is alleged that the accused was also posting on a racist website with the usual hate spew about minority groups. http://www.torontosun.com/2012/06/01/magnotta-linked-to-white-supremacist-site

This is one twisted story and a case in hindsight that begged intervention. Sadly police organizations in Canada, particularly Quebec do not take animal cruelty seriously. If I am not mistaken, Quebec is the only jurisdiction in North America with almost no animal cruelty enforcement laws.

This guy is sick beyond words. What can you say about a guy like this apart from he needs to caught straight away.

I remember reading about a film called "The serbian film" last year. Never watched and never would but i read some of the reviews. Sounds exactly like what this guy is doing. The film is meant to be <Snip!> up beyond belief. Surely films that go to far like this should be banned but its not. No wonder there are so many insane people on this planet, including the director and anyone involved in making that film.

What's really scary about this nut job is that he is obviously desperate for attention and is willing to go to some fairly extreme ends to get it. Progressing from kittens to now murder with all the unpleasant side details begs the question of what he intends to do next.

Reading the email he apparently sent to the Sun newspaper he seems to be keen to follow the path of the Yorkshire Ripper ( a UK serial killer in the 1980's) who murdered (mostly) prostitutes while taunting the police.

At least in Europe it's harder to acquire firearms than N.America (at least for those not criminally connected) so hopefully we will not be faced with another Brievik/Ryan/Merah style killing spree. But I have a horrible feeling that we have not heard the last of this appalling specimen.

The press and to some extent the social media are fuel to the fire for narcissists who crave attention above all else. It is open to question whether they actually cause a higher incidence of such evil behavior.

To travel out of the country he would need someone else's passport(s) - unfortunately, not so hard to buy or steal.

Once the police link him to a particular passport though, the bastard's pretty much in the bag.

Btw, I wouldn't lend much credence to newspaper reports that the police are looking for him in France, England and

Canada. In cases like this only disinformation gets put out. The cops may be hot on his scent or not.

In fact, if he's smart, which it seems he is to some extent, then most likely he will avoid Europe/America where

his mug's splashed all over the media. In fact, a country like Thailand (no sign of him at least in the English

papers here) might be more to his liking.

So, keep your eyes peeled, especially in tourist places like Pattaya and Phuket where someone like him could try to

disappear. Btw, his thin face would be altered significantly by a beard. So, presumably he has grown one and a

mustache too. But the lips are striking and would not be easy to conceal.

So, take a good hard look at his face before heading out to your long weekend festivities and if the guy on the

barstool next to you wants to talk about killing cats or slicing corpses (being a pathological narcissist he no doubt

will reference, indirectly even, his exploits) holler for the cops.

Preferably, he should be caught and spend the rest of his life in jail in tough conditions. If not, I hope he will commit suicide before killing or harming anyone else.

His life of ill is over soon! So sad that people like this walk the earth. I have known so many great people who have passed on. Great people who walked in this world with integrity, love and compassion in their hearts and humility towards fellow humans. Yet people like this nut job are everywhere in every country preying on the good. I hope they catch this psycho soon!sad.png

This person is most likely has a psychopathic personality. He will continue to be an extreme danger and since he probably has no remorse or guilt, he is not likely to commit suicide. People like him must be apprehended or shot. Rehabilitation is not possible.
