I thought 'chana' could be used in most situations for 'win' but on further research there seems to be lots of different words to use in different contexts. For example, would it be better to use 'siu' when talking about winning a game of football? How about a game of poker? What words for 'win' are there and how do you use them?

I'm not a fan of google translate.

Su สู้ can also mean fight. In the context of football, you could use the rather optimistic sentence. 'No one can beat England.'

สู้การอังกฤษไม่ได้

Which literally means no one can fight England, though google will have you believe it means 'The British did not fight'!
