Non O Renewal Last Week.

Featured Replies

Just in case...

Some extra info we were asked for last week in Korat...which when I asked for the list of required stuff 2 weeks earlier and then asked if there was anything new, anything different, anything extra to add....and they said 'nope'

This may only effect people that rent rather than own, but then if you have a house or condo, i would take the address books and all that stuff in case

....on the day they wanted copy of lease, copy of landlords id and copy of landlords house books.

Did not have them, so kind of told them to screw it, but in a nice thai way.

Asking for proof of address is not unheard of and they are in their right to do so.

its not about what is their rights to do so...its about being told one thing...and given a LIST...of exactly what they want....and then driving some distance with all the said listed documents.....then asking for more.

In 4 years at Korat and years prior in Bkk....I had never been asked for those extras.

There would be no issue if they simply put it on the list...or if when I asked 2 weeks prior if anything extra required...they simply told me so.

I was lucky, we did not have to supply them after some indignation.....but someone else getting a grumpy bugger on the wrong day and has just driven for 2 hours....might get the 'tough titties' response and come back when documentation complete.
