Hi all:

Any ideas where to buy a sandbag or even better a freestanding punching bag/mannequin for boxing training in Pattaya? Any price ideas? Thanks. JH.

i used to use a army kit bag and fill that with sand, they are still available at the stores selling the army surplus - like the army and navy stores in the uk. I find that they work out to be far better for punch bags than the actual leather bags as they are far more hard waring and also, far cheaper. There used to be a place on the sukhumvit road towards pattaya klang that sold all this stuff, dont know if its still there as we moved from Pattaya a good few years ago now.

There is a shop in North Pattaya road, on the left side as you drive up towards Sukhumvit, a bit before the Bus station, that sells a lot of boxing stuff. They should have them there.

Otherwise, sand sucks, old clothes works like a charm and is evenly compressed
