Do I Need Old (Lost ) Passport With Visa In

Featured Replies

On my last 90 day visa run

Mae Sai Immigratio entered details of last 1 year Non O married visa from the old passport

They copied in Thai and stamped Old No etc in my NEW passport

The old one with the actual Visa sticker seems to have vanished thru the trash/laundry in the last fewddyasand my wife cannot locate I know exaclly where i left it in the house ,it has not beeen stolen,,is this a probelm,do I need to notify anyone?Polce UK consul or immigrtion or is new one enough

Do I require both to leave the country?

all advice welcome

If you have a visa (from a consulate) you need that every time you enter the country until it expires, if the passport is lost so is the visa.

So what should I do please?

Your old passport should have been canceled so it is not needed or requires any reporting and will have no effect if you are on one year extension of stay - if not on extension of stay you will require a new visa when your current permitted to stay expires (as a multi entry visa in old passport would have to be shown to use again).

Thanks thats lucky as I am leaving a few days after final border run

I plan to fly out 0030 on July 4th so should pass immi on 3rd of July ,this mean I could get 15 days entering by land on June 19th? even if they count 4th the time fly out will I be inside the days overstay grace the reason I ask is my current 90 days ends on the 20th of June.I am hoping My dear widfe has put it somewhere "safe" and it may well turn up by then.

I guess my question is okmto do a day trip on 19th of June, get 15 days and fly out July 4th

Yes if you fly out there should not be any overstay charge. But I would do the border crossing on the 20th as that is the date you really must leave and then there will not be any overstay stamp for July 4 departure.

Thanks Lopburi as ever swift sound reassurance,I must owe you a monkey by now.Luckily I booked 4th this morning as better flight on 6th was full so its swings and roundabouts.
