Well I was refused Uk tourist visa the first time I applied for a visa so on my second attempt of re-applying I noticed some typographical errors in my supporting documents by typist but then it was too late I had submitted everything already

The error was on my MOTIVATION LETTER

Which states my reason to travel to the Uk and places of interest I will visit

THE ERROR WAS THAT THE TYPIST WROTE A DIFFERENT UNIVERSITY INSTEAD OF THE CURRENT UNIVERSITY I ENROLL IN example is she typed "I introduce myself (that is me) of university P instead of she saying I am a student of university A

In addition to the supporting documents I have transcripts of univ A and with the previous application (first time) I have the MOTIVATION LETTER stating I'm in univ A and all other documents stating I'm in university A

I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHETHER IT COULD BE A HINDRANCE IN ACQUIRING THE VISA? But aside that I have all the other documents stated in the refusal letter

Thank you

I would suggest you email the embassy and explain the situation. If the difference is picked up by the ECO (and may well be) it will ring warning bells!

I agree; you should contact the embassy immediately to explain the error.

Discrepancies of this nature will certainly cause doubt in the Entry Clearance Officer's mind; particularly as you have recently been refused due to lack of evidence!

The ECO will take the view that you are responsible for the accuracy of all the information in your application. You should have checked it all before submission. Remember that you have signed a declaration stating that all the information you have provided is true and complete.

Also in the new application(supporting documents) I did nit attach some copies of I'D card thinking they have the previous copies of the first application so stating the old ref num they can retrieve the other documents

I will like to kno whether it was ok I did that ?

You should always treat each application as separate and provide the evidence required for the current application. Circumstances change and the ECO wants to see current information.

However, your Thai ID card is not required, they have your passport as proof of your identity.

Could you please tell me how the decission is made ?

Does the ECO look at your old documents and also the new documents when reapplying before the decision is taken ?

And also the chances of a successful visa when u reapplying having the documents stated in the refusal letter on the first application

The ECO will look at the application as if it is a new application.

S/he will look at the application and evidence supplied to see if it meets the requirements of the relevant paragraphs of the immigration rules using the entry clearance guidance to aid them.

Previous applications may be a factor; especially if there are unexplained discrepancies between a previous application and the current one.

This is the same wherever you apply. Presumably as you are not resident in Thailand you are not applying in Thailand.
