Hi,

I have a son, he was born in Saraburi and got a Philippine Passport from bangkok about almost two years ago. Just a year ago both of us moved to Vientiane Laos for another project.

We came back here in Thailand to visit his grandparents since they are working here.

Both of us got only 14 days tourist visa stay stamped in our passports at Nongkhai.

My plan is as follows:

-I'll go back to laos before my tourist visa expires (14 days) without my son.

-After new school year classes start, around 2-3 months after, I am going to come back to pick-up my child and return to Laos.

I heard from some foreigners here that children under 14 don't need to renew visas. Is it true?

I am worried because I am now only holding a tourist visa here in Thailand.

It is overstay but there is no fine involved for children under age 15 and no effect on future entry.
