Working From A Beach In Thailand

Featured Replies

Hello people...

I came accross the following website whilst surfing and wondered if anybody was aware of the legitimacy of it...

It sounds really good, but there is a nagging voice in my head telling me it isn't real.

To some it up, it appears that you pay a one-off fee, you get the opportunity to partake in online services and get paid for it into a Paypal account.

Anybody here know from experience?

I would love to work from a beach in Thailand!!

... Sorry I forgot the link...

There are some who can do that sure... for myself, the reality has been much much more enjoyable and practical when working from your beachfront hotel room/bungalow/etc. in Thailand. Did the "on the beach" thing ONE time. It's hot (even for a Thai), everybody and their grandma is looking over your shoulder to see what kind of work allows you to "work on the beach," and finally, laptops and sand don't mix well.

:o

I was devastated when I tried my first laptop outside ...

I just couldn't see my screen - the light was too bright - besides even if I could have seen it the distractions would have been too much (I daytrade)

hehehe... well actually the idea of sitting on the beach "working" doesn't appeal to me at all. What this website implies is that you can live in "paradise" and earn some cash by going online in an internet cafe for an hour or so whenever you like, thus giving you the time and opportunity to just sit on the beach, or whatever else you want to do for that matter.

I take it from the responses that it's bogus...... I'm not surprised...

Oh well... I guess I'll have to keep working for a living and save up for a few week holiday each year... :o

:o I know the website you are talking about, you pay a one off fee , then some fella in Canada gives you a list of companies that want people to fill in and take on-line consumer survey's. For doing the survey's, the bloke in Canada reckons you'll get paid between $15 - $100 per survey completed. The problem you will face is that most of the companies conducting the survey's want people in certain defined catagories and based in North America. Also, they don't all pay out in cash, but more often than not, they award you points that you can redeem for consumer goods through certain retail outlets. Not much use for beer tokens and bar fines !

Far better options out there for making portable income.....which is what we all want ! :D

Thanks Buncer!

That confirms my doubts....

I'm just looking for a way to spend long periods of time in Thailand, so I can spend quality time with my girlfriend. ie not working full time.

Two weeks at a time every 6 months is just not long enough...
