I tried a police station once and got the third degree treatment, they eventually telephoned the pu yai of my village who had to drive 17 km to the police station to say he knew me, that I was a good person, attended the village temple services, was never seen drunk etc. the captain then grudgingly stamped the form (no cost). Since the village has become a Tetsabaan I now get it done by the mayoress for free with no hassle. -

It's called sharing - - Would you fly first class and get your wife/GF a ticket in coach? etc etc... have you never cared about someone and want them to have a better life with more security? Do you not want your GF to have some happiness? {Assuming you can afford it] My wife is happinest when she can help her family live a better life. She is a very kind person. Phuket too many package tourists and the locals in Phuket Town were rude to me, like I was going to steal something from their shop or hit them. I guess theyre burned out with tourists. Geographically the island is beautiful, but its plastigeddon everywhere - same all over Thailand sadly. Samui was horrible even back in 2013. Wayyy too busy, far too developed, all the trees cut down near the beaches. As for the north, Chiang Mai is like a slow death with horrible air quality 7-8 months of the year. You literally cannot take a clean breath from October to May. Again beautiful geography esp outside the city but whats the use if you cannot breathe?!! C'mon Thailand, the world is cleaning itself up, you can too! -
