i am looking for full time work in thailand at the moment but am a little clueless as to where to start. I've done the bkk post and jobthai.com on the internet. Does anyone know of any job agents in bangkok or of any good job papers, web site etc?

It is highly unlikely that you will find a job through agencies or the Thai Press as you will always be put to the bottom of the pile. You will also need a sponsor and work permit. Why should a Thai company put out this expense if they don't need to? The other way is to find work with a multi national and try and get an assignment to Thailand. Notwithstanding the aforementioned the best way to find a job anywhere is though networking. If can afford it come in as a tourist for a while and find the expats who work here already network your way into a position.
