Mario2008
Yes you have to change the work permit. And do you have a visa or an extension of stay, I suspect the last. On the last day of employment you have to cancel your work eprmit with a letter from your school indicating your last day of employement at the labour office. At the same time you apply for a new work permit for the new school with paperwork from the new school. (If it is in the same region, otherwise you have to go to the labour office for the area of the new school). The labour office will give a letter for immirgation, together with another letter from the school you cancel your permission to stay at immirgation. if you can get the work permit for the new school the same day you can apply for a new extension of stay based on the new school. Iif the work eprmit is not ready, you can apply for a 7 day extension of stay for 1,900 baht. When the WP is ready you than return to immigration to apply for a new extension of stay. If the wor permit is still not ready after 7 days, you have to leave the country and apply for a new non-B visa abroad. Best is to have the new school contact labour beforehand to prepare all the required paperwork so labour can issue a new WP the same day you cancel your current one. As said, cancelling the prrmisison to stay is only when you are on an extension of stay. Not when you are on a valid visa entry of 90 days. othersideofme
Thanks for you reply. One question, when I will apply for new work permit that time I need to attach teacher licence photocopy or not? Right now I have provisional teacher license for 2 years ( till august 2013). Mario2008
You wil need a new waiver of the teaching license. My understanding is that the waiver is only for the school that employes you. A new school means you need a new waiver. Best to have he new school apply for it ASAP.
